I first met Lauren in my mother’s group for my second baby, Damon. Lauren let us know that she was a PT and as soon as she returned back to work from maternity leave I booked in with her. I was feeling very weak, unfit and unhappy with how I looked. Lauren made me feel comfortable straight away and pushed me out of my comfort zone in sessions. I started training with Lauren 3 months after my first child was born and she helped me get into better shape than I was pre-baby. I continued to train with her throughout my second and third pregnancies (last PT session at 39 weeks for both!) and she was amazing through all of it. I was able to maintain a good level of fitness through three pregnancies in 3 1/2 years which made it so much easier to bounce back after each bub. She is incredibly motivating and really tailored my workouts to the intensity I needed at the time. I loved how she would mix things up and create different, challenging workouts each week. She is knowledgeable about fitness during pregnancy and is just a genuinely fun person which made me look forward to my sessions even more. I can't recommend her enough!!

When I first joined the gym I had a session with Lauren as in introduction to Personal Training. My intention in joining the gym was to only attend classes, as I found using the equipment quite scary at first. I was hoping to use the session to learn a little about using gym equipment just in case I ever used any of the machines. However, after that 45 minute session with Lauren, I knew that she was going to provide a motivational voice that would help guide and teach me about the right way to think about losing weight and exercising. After working with Lauren, I have increased my fitness level to well above what I ever thought I could achieve, and have gained confidence to use the machines and equipment
I never thought I would use. She has even introduced me to boxing as a great way to stay fit and have fun! I can also lift 3-5x the amount of weight I began with.
Being able to have someone to talk to when I get stuck in a rut, or to ask questions about possible changes to my diet or exercise regime has been such a great help. We regularly change my programs that are the basis of workouts, so that when I am beginning to get a bit tired of the same activities, we switch to something new and challenging. Workouts are never boring with Lauren, and I think that is something that is really important if you want to keep up the motivation of coming to the gym as often as I do. If I am having trouble with a type of exercise or movement, Lauren will think of alternatives to help challenge me. Having a person there that you can actively ask questions of is a huge help when a lot of the time weight loss is such an independent process. I would 100% encourage anyone who is looking to change up their routine, needs someone to help motivate them to get moving or just wants to try something new to look into training with a personal trainer. Having that person with you along the way is an invaluable tool and process, and can also be great fun.

When I began my journey with Lauren I was 108.5 kg, very overweight, unhappy, unconfident and very unfit. I have struggled with my weight since my 30’s so now it’s time for me, as getting out of bed I felt like an old woman.
I’ve had a PT before but we didn’t work well together so I was very skeptical about doing this again but decided that now was the time for change. I was introduced to Lauren who listened to me and what I wanted from her as a personal trainer and so our journey began.
It was a hard long slog the first few sessions being unfit and overweight I was embarrassed about my weight but everyone at the gym made me feel welcome. Lauren had her work cut out for her- she did lots of tweaking of my diet/drinks & exercise- being addicted to diet coke was a huge barrier but it was all or nothing and I have given it up. Lauren encouraged me to write my food & training diary regularly which helped her and me to see how I was tracking.
We had a lot of sweat and tears along the way. Sweat from the hard work out sessions were I felt like ripping her (Lauren’s) head off and tears from me thinking I was useless and too big and would never get there. Lauren was my pillar of strength and pushed me to believe in myself and also through injuries and aches and pains of which there were many.
The main challenge I faced was going away for 6 weeks to Asia however the change of life style had set in guided by Lauren who was always (and still is) sat on my right shoulder egging me to go and on achieve- even on holiday
She kept me focused on this journey setting small goals along the way and always encouraging me to succeed.
We celebrated my successes at the scales and at measurement time very verbally at times!
In total over in just over a year I lost almost 50kg. I’m now in a maintenance phase and Lauren helping me to keep this new fit and healthy me. I have lost weight and am much more confident in myself and looking forward to each and every day.
I would and have recommended Lauren if you want to loose weight, get fit and keep motivated and have recommended her to friends and now they have begun their journey with her. Thank you Lauren!

She originally started training my wife (and still does) and eventually took me on as well.
